The American Cancer Society (ACS) and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends that adults begin colorectal screening at age 45, preferably with a test that allows for both cancer prevention and detection, once every 10 years or every 2 if considered high risk.
At UDMI, we offer the following minimally-invasive colorectal cancer screening studies:
- CT colonography (CTC), also called virtual colonoscopy
- Double-contrast barium enema
Contact us to schedule an appointment for a virtual colonoscopy or a barium enema or for help to determine whether you require such tests.
A written referral is required.
