Genitourinary (GU) Radiology is the subspecialty devoted to the imaging of disorders of the urinary (kidneys, adrenal glands, and bladder) and male reproductive systems. This includes using Digital Radiography (X-RAY), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Our radiologists work closely with nephrologists, urologists, and other physicians to diagnose and aid in the treatment of kidney stones, kidney disease, liver disease, and urinary tract anatomy and function among other diagnoses.
UDMI commonly performs the following genitourinary radiology exams:

- Abdomen

- Kidneys / Retroperitoneum
- Bladder
- Kidney with dobbler flow of renal arteries and veins (rule out stenosis)
CT
- Genitourinary protocol with and without contrast (to rule out renal stones)
MRI
- Kidney
- Adrenal glands
- Pelvis
Nuclear Medicine
- Renal scan with or without lasix
